The Department of
Teaching and Learning directs the development and implementation of the PreK-12 curriculum and instructional program and provides leadership and support to the Lakewood City Schools. Our department is responsible for the management and development of curriculum, the selection and purchase of textbooks and educational materials, instructional support, professional development, assessment and accountability, and the coordination of state and federal programs, Limited English Proficiency, and gifted services.
