President's Message
Welcome Back to another exciting school year at Lakewood High. For those of you who are new to our school, a big WELCOME!
As a parent of a senior, I recommend that you get involved at this school. These years fly by fast and soon their time at Lakewood High will be gone. Please urge your student to get involved. Encourage them to join a club, a sport or participate in the music program. The opportunities are endless.
Please try to attend the Lakewood High Open House on Thursday September 9th. You will have the opportunity to walk the school hallways, visit your child’s classrooms and meet with their teachers.
This is our first year of the all electronic newsletter. Yes, the Ranger Roundup is "going green". Keep in mind that if you want a printed copy, there is a form you can fill out to receive it. We have a new editor! Her name is Bonnie Farren, a 2004 graduate of Lakewood High. We greatly appreciate her willingness to take on this project.
I hope to see many of you at our first PTA meeting on Tuesday, September 28th at 7 PM in the LRC South. The meetings are short, informative, and Dr. Wagner always has some new information about Lakewood High. There are only four meetings during the school year.
The PTA sponsors many student events. Please join PTA and become involved. There is also a line on the membership form for the "Painless Project". This is the only "fundraiser" PTA has. Donate the cost of a book, or baked goods or something we would sell. That's it! No selling or buying anything. It's Painless!

Again, welcome to the 2010 - 2011 school year. Together we can make this a great year at Lakewood High.
